Description of event:

Re-release of Spike Lee’s breakout hit

Sun 13th Oct 2019

Starts 00:00 hrs

A 30th anniversary re-release of Spike Lee’s breakout hit, an audacious, explosive examination of racial tension over the course of one sweltering Brooklyn day.

Salvatore Fragione is the Italian owner of a pizzeria in Brooklyn. A neighbourhood local, Buggin’ Out, becomes upset when he notices that the pizzeria’s Wall of Fame exhibits only Italians and no black stars, in what is primarily a black neighbourhood. The wall becomes a symbol of racism and hate, and tensions rise.

Running time: 2h20, including ads and trailers.
