The Taste of Shetland Festival is the highlight of Shetland’s ‘foodie’ calendar. It brings together live entertainment and cooking inspiration with some of the best food and drink Shetland has to offer.
Held over the weekend of the 23rd/24th November 2019.
Cookery competitions, demonstrations and food and drink experiences will be on offer at this popular family event. Enter Islesburgh Community Centre and awaken your senses. The all-NEW festival will have something for everyone.
New this year, our Taste of Shetland 2019 Cookery Competitions will feature regional heats across the Isles and a Lerwick Festival final. We’ll crown winners in two competition categories; over-18s Muckle Bites and under-18s Peerie Bites.
The Muckle Bites prize – for two – is a 6 course tasting dinner with matching wines at Restaurant Martin Wishart, Leith, Edinburgh. There will be an overnight stay in Edinburgh, along with return flights – courtesy of Loganair.
The Peerie Bites winner from the junior and the senior section will have places at Gary Maclean’s Saturday Cook School at the City of Glasgow College for an amazing day of activities including lunch. Overnight accommodation for the winners and an accompanying adult each is included, as are return flights – thanks again to Loganair.
